Eline Jammaers

Eline Jammaers is a doctoral research fellow at the University of Hasselt, Faculty of Business Economics. She will, in the near future, be defending her thesis which covers the employment opportunities for disabled people in Flanders, a project funded by the Flemish Government. She focuses on the discursive and symbolic barriers in society, especially in the work context, that truly disable people with impairments. By means of 65 in-depth interviews collected in three different organizations she extends and refines the concept of ableism within the workplace.
